Died: June 13, 2011

O. V. Kelley, of Ada, passed away June 13, 2011 in Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years. He was born July 15, 1929 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Lee and Stella (Ferguson) Kelley. They moved to Paoli in a horse drawn wagon when he was just a baby. Paoli was his home all his life until he married Betty Ferguson on April 22, 1950 in Davis, Oklahoma. For a while he worked at Meade Bread. His working career was in the grocery industry where he worked many years as a Retail Manager.

His activities include a lifetime membership in the Optimist Club, Past Grand Master of the Odd Fellow Lodge and a former Mayor of Paoli.

O. V. loved baseball and was an avid O. U. fan as well, always keeping up with their games on T. V. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was very proud of all of their achievements.

He had a great sense of humor and loved to be around people. He always wanted to help anyone that needed help. O. V. leaves a big void in his family and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Stella Kelley, one brother, Thad Kelley, and one sister, Geraldine Kelley.

Surviving family include his wife of 61 years, Betty of the home; three children, Robbie and her husband Tom Scroggins of Ada, Stan and his wife Sue Kelley of Ada, and Pamela and her husband Harvey Hollowell of Konawa; as well as nine grandchildren and 12 and 3/4th's great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Bill Kelley of Oklahoma City, four sisters, Wanda McCoy of Bakersfield, California, Sue Green of Wynnewood, Melba Green of Elk City and Linda Barnes of Mustang as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Roy Shave. Memorial Services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
