In Loving Memory Of

Fern Wyatt

Fern Wyatt, of Pauls Valley was born December 6, 1919 in St. Louis, Oklahoma to Luther Lee and Amelia Norberry Cherry. She grew up and attended Hughes School at Lindsay, where she lived most of her life.

Fern Cherry was married to William Day Wyatt in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on January 31, 1942. The Pauls Valley area has been her home since 1991. She was a member of the Christian Church.

She passed away September 22, 2009 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Amelia Cherry and stepmother, Ida May Cherry (Saxon); her husband, William Day "Bill" Wyatt on January 28, 2008; stepbrother, Jack Saxon and sister, Alice Dunn; Aunt & Uncle, Ola & Dutch Dingler; niece, Tonya Roberson; cousins, Hudson Crouch and Jerry & Linda Dingler. Fern's mother, Amelia, died when Fern was 5 years of age and she was raised by her father and her stepmother, Ida May Cherry.

Surviving family include her son and his fiance, William David Wyatt and Kathy White, of Pauls Valley; sisters, Juanita Pickens of Shawnee; Doris Jean Niece of Midland, Texas, and Eula May Johnson of Odessa, Texas; a special sister, Delois Crouch of Pauls Valley; 2 grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Wyatt and William T. Wyatt; 1 great grandson, Hunter T.; and special friend, Debbie Bailey, of Amarillo; 3 special nieces, Beverly Bailey of Kilgore, Texas; Brenda Baughaman of Muskogee; and Jan Rickard and her husband, Tom, of Asher.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Charles Dean. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
