In Loving Memory Of

Delia Mae Winget

Delia Mae Winget, of Pauls Valley, was born August 3, 1915 in Lebanon, Oklahoma to John and Bertha Massey Colson.

She passed away April 24, 2008 at Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years.

Delia attended school in Enville, Oklahoma. On July 18, 1946 Delia Mae Colson was married to O. K. Winget in Gainesville, Texas. They made Pauls Valley their home and has lived here most of her life. She was a beautician and owned and operated a beauty shop with her sister for years. For a time Delia was a cook in the Pauls Valley School System, but, to her, the greatest job she ever had was that of a housewife, a mother and a grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha Colson; and her husband, O. K. Winget.

Surviving family include her three sons, Jesse Edward "Ed" Winget of May; Ronald Otho "Ronnie" Winget of Pauls Valley; and Danny E. Winget of Rowlett, Texas; one sister, Mary Lou Walker of Pauls Valley; one brother, Wendyl Colson of Wynnewood; ten grandchildren, Mechelle Walker, John Winget, Stormie Barker, Sean Winget, Becky Anthony, Wayne Sissons, Eric Sissons, Rich Blain, Westley Winget and Chad Winget; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Bro. Tim Bowen. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
