In Loving Memory Of

D. L. Willeby

D. L. Willeby, of Maysville, was born March 28, 1933 in Johnston County, Oklahoma to William Lewis and Inis (Overstreet) Willeby.

As a young boy his parents moved the family to Texas where he lived most of his life. On January 22, 1951 he and Lavetta Clark were married in Texas. In 2000 they moved to make Maysville their home and have attended Light of the World Pentecostal Church of God in the Whitebead Community.

He passed away January 7, 2008 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years.

Mr. Willeby was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dwight Willeby; and one daughter, Vickie Timms.

Surviving family include his wife of 57 years, Lavetta of the home; eight children, Craig Willeby and Johnny Willeby, both of Maysville; Randy Willeby of Shallowater, Texas; Eric Willeby of Lubbock, Texas; Shelly Boyd of San Anotnio, Texas; Hope Hargrove and Charelene Willeby, both of Lubbock, Texas; and Leonard Timms of Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, Robert (Bob) Willeby of Idabel; Travis Odell Willeby and Chester Lewis Willeby, both of Caney; eight sisters, Shirley Jean Yates of Caney; Billie Davis of Atoka; Betty Daniel of Coleman; Darlene Crowl, Noel Gregory, Brenda McInch and Sandy Anderson, all of Caney; and Winnie Cook of Davis; 26 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Charles Ledbetter. Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

I wish that I could have been there for my Grandpa's last days.  He was a man of inspiration in my life and for that I will always be greatful.  May God be with all of the family.
