In Loving Memory Of Mary Eilzabeth (Quinill)Tolbert
Mary Elizabeth Quinill Tolbert heard the Lord whisper, “Come with me my good and faithful servant”, on March 7, 2005. Surrounded by her family holding her hand, Jesus took her in his arms & carried her to Heaven. Waiting on Mary were her husband Clifford Bryant of 70 years, father Carl Nilo, mother Sue Eudora (Kirby) Quinill, brothers James, Roy, & Earl Quinill, her sisters Lillian Burgin, Hazel Vestal, Ora Quinill, and a host of other family members & friends. Mary was born on October 20, 1913 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma where she lived until the death of her husband in June 2003. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1931 then went on to attend college at Harding University in Arkansas. Mary & Clifford began a beautiful love-filled, long life on July 8, 1933. Together they operated the ranch & cattle business they owned. Mary stood by Clifford’s side as he became a longtime businessman & leader in the Garvin County area. They traveled all over the world hand in hand, more in love everyday. Mary along with her family was a charter member of the Paul & Pine Church of Christ in Pauls Valley. It was there she taught many years of Bible Classes, prepared meals for the elderly and disabled. Her home was always open to the preachers who came to town for Gospel meetings. Mary was a member of the Homesteaders Club and she won numerous blue ribbons & others prizes for her sewing & cooking abilities at the county & state fairs. Mary & Clifford raised 2 lovely daughters, Sue and Marilynn, who were the apple of their eyes. They went on many exciting vacations as a family, attended the school functions the girls were involved in and spent time daily in prayer & Bible study. Mary moved to Oklahoma City to live with Darrell & Marilynn after Clifford passed away. It was there Mary attended the Del City Church of Christ. Mary is survived by her daughters Sue Rae of Darian, Ct.; Marilynn & her husband Darrell Sharber of Oklahoma City, Ok.; her 6 grandchildren Dava Sue Rae of NY; Scott & Kim Fetgatter of Tulsa, Ok.; Jay & Amy Johnson of Oklahoma City, Ok.; Sean & Katherine Fetgatter of Sulphur, Ok.; Beth Pearson of Oklahoma City & Chris Fetgatter of Maryland; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, along with many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Del City Church of Christ, Pauls Valley Church of Christ and the Compassionate Hospice, for all their prayers, love, & encouragement and the host of wonderful friends who made this journey so much easier for all involved. A visitation will be held on the evening of Wednesday, March 9, 2005, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home for all the family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls Valley with Roy Shave and Jim Crain officiating with burial at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley. |
