In Loving Memory Of

Freddie Joe Thomas

Freddie Joe Thomas, of Pauls Valley, was born December 18, 1946 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Opal and Joe Thomas. He passed away February 7, 2010 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 63 years. He attended Dunbar Elementary School and Pauls Valley High School in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

Freddie accepted Christ at an early age. He left and went to Los Angeles, California where he met and married Rosie Lee Thomas. Freddie worked for West-Co Bakery Supply Company while living in California.

In 1972, Freddie returned to Oklahoma. He worked for the City of Pauls Valley and later went to work for the Pauls Valley State School (now, S. O. R. C.) for 20 years before retiring. Freddie enjoyed playing dominoes, softball, fishing and hunting, watching football; he also loved barbequing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe William Thomas; a sister, Patricia Austin; a brother, Jeffery Thomas and two nieces, Patrice Austin and Felicia Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Opal Byars of Pauls Valley; his children, Terry Banner, Freddie Thomas, Jr. and J. W. Thomas, all of Pauls Valley; and Tracy Guy of Norman; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; his siblings, Lois Jean Fields of Tulsa; Carolyn Bray, Pauline Turner and Vervina Matthews, all of Oklahoma City; Carl Douglas Thomas of Pauls Valley; Paul Fields of Norman; Mary Ann Thomas of Kansas and Bobby J. Thomas of California; 1 uncle, Leo and Etta Watkins of Pauls Valley; 3 aunts, Ella Mae Anderson of Oklahoma City, Mary Helen Morris and Hartense and Fred Leach of California; special friends, Billy and Brenda Church and Kim Fields, all of Pauls Valley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance. Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery. Interment and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

very trustworthy. He helped many people in the
community. I will miss Freddie as I am sure many others will.
