In Loving Memory Of

Francis Columbus "Shorty" Taylor

Francis Columbus "Shorty" Taylor, of Pauls Valley was born March 5, 1923 in Waldo, Arkansas to Jim Joe Taylor and Myla Mae Smith Taylor. He passed away February 11, 2008 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

Francis was married to Frankie Modean Williams at Ada, Oklahoma on June 4, 1949. Francis served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of WWII. He was a truck driver for the county. He was a member of Pauls Valley Baptist Church. Francis liked to fish and hunt. He loved working in his garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Myla Taylor; 2 children, Michael Keith Taylor & Mylee Joan Ingram; grandson, James Matthew Taylor; 2 brothers, James Taylor & Glen Taylor.

Surviving family include his wife of 58 years, Frankie, of the home; 2 children, Paulette & Ronald Griffith, of Dallas; and Jimmy & Sonja Taylor, of Pauls Valley; sister, Velma James, of Hugo; 7 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Tom Ison. Interment will be at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
