Lois A. Giddens-Stevens

Lois A. Giddens-Stevens, of Oklahoma City was born October 14, 1921 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Clark Burkett and Mattie A. Giddens Burkett . She passed away March 4, 2007 at the age of 85 years.

Lois grew up in the Stratford area and went to Walker Consolidated School. She married J. B. Carroll and from that union three children were born, Johnny Carroll who preceded her in death; Jerry Carroll and Kaye Rogers.

Lois established a career in mortgage investment and became a vice president of a mortgage investment firm in Los Angeles, California. Lois was devoted to he career and to her beloved dogs, Princess & Skylar. She married Evan Stevens in California and they retired to Cottonwood, Arizona. She returned to Oklahoma City after his death.

Surviving family include her son, Jerry Carroll, daughter, Kaye Rogers, both of Oklahoma City; sisters, Helen Gillespie and Evelyn Garrison, both of Pauls Valley, and Jackie Sowinski, of San Diego, Ca.; and 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Roy Shave. Burial will be at McGee Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
