Harold Standridge

Harold R. Standridge, of Pauls Valley, was born May 28, 1917 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Charles and Hattie (Blish) Standridge. He passed away October 8, 2004 in Pauls Valley at the age of 87 years.

On August 28, 1938 Harold R. Standridge and Velda Cunningham were married in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

He was a Dairy farmer for a time and later the owner of River Steel Products in Pauls Valley until his retirement. Pauls Valley has been his home since 1978. He and Velda were members of the First Baptist Church in Pauls Valley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velda, on October 18, 1999.

Harold is also preceded in death by a brother, Russell Standridge; 1 great-grandson, Luke Charles Allen and a grandson-in-law, Jon Shanks.

Surviving family also include his two children, Charles Standridge and his wife, Marilyn, of Purcell and Janet Green and her husband, Leo, of Maysville; one brother, Houston Standridge, of Lindsay; eight grandchildren, John Standridge and his wife, Donna, Allen Green and his wife, Kim, Wayne Green and his wife, Brandi, Rocky Claunch and his wife, Jennifer, Kristen Allen, Debra Pigg and her husband, Ted, Gail Grussendorf and her husband, David and Deidre Claunch; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Shanks, Rachel Shanks, Julie Green, Amanda Green, Ashley Freeman, Christopher Freeman, Zachary Green, Makayla Green, Kaden Claunch and Carson Claunch.
