In Loving Memory Of
Roy Lee Sorrels
Roy Lee Sorrels, of Pauls Valley, was born June 13,
1953 in Purcell, Oklahoma.
He passed away May 10, 2008 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 54
years.
He is a 1971 high school graduate from Kimball, Nebraska. For about 24
years in the Oil Fields as a Floor Hand and later worked as a Driver
for River Steel. The Pauls Valley area has been his home for most of his
life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Lee Sorrels and 2
nephews, Jody Storm and Irvin L. Thomason.
Surviving family include his fiancé, Roshana Whitaker of Pauls Valley; 4
sons, Steven Sorrels of Moore; Eddie Sorrels of Noble; Cliff Sorrels of
Gulfport, Mississippi and Robert Sorrels of Mesquite, Texas; his mother,
Millie Norris of Springfield, Tennessee; 2 sisters, Reneah Colson of
Elmore City and Joni Thomason of Stratford; 1 brother, Tommy Wesley
Sorrels of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren, and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was a wonderful dad and a 'one of a kind' special person to know and
be around.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 10:30 am at
First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley officiated by Dr. Joe Elam.
Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of
Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
