In Loving Memory Of
Roy T. Smith

Roy T. Smith, of Pauls Valley was born June 26, 1921 in
Shawnee, Oklahoma to Frank M. and Myrtle (Myers) Smith.
He attended the Baptist Church in Shawnee as a child. On March 26, 1940
he and Beverly Sue Nozot were married in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She preceded
him in death in January 1962.
Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II and
the Korean War where he served in the 45th Division Medical Corp. He
retired at the age of 62 and moved to the Veterans Colony in Wilburton,
OK and lived there for 20 years before moving to Pauls Valley 2 years
ago to be close to his family.
He passed away February 5, 2007 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of
85 years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; four brothers:
George Smith, Darrell Smith, Willie "Bill" Smith, Roe Smith and two
sisters: Bertha Kinslow and Emily Dodson.
Surviving family include his Son, Roy "Tom" Smith, Jr. and wife Sharon;
Daughter, Sue Ellen LaLone and husband, Howard; Sister, Doris Wells and
husband Leonard; Grandchildren, Paul Smith and wife Monica, Jessica
Nelson and husband Krist, Joanna Smith, Kevin St. Peter and wife Terre,
Beverly Connelly and husband Shawn, Kristen Archer and husband Matt,
Teri Butcher and husband Paul, and Timothy St. Peter and wife Sandra; 17
Great Grandchildren and one on the way.
There will
be visitation of family and friends at 7:00 pm the evening of Wednesday,
February 7, 2007 at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 10:00 am at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance. Interment will be at 3:00 PM that
afternoon at the Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of
Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
