Robert T. (Bob) Russell, of Moore was born July 30, 1930 in
Elmore City, Oklahoma to John Henry and Mary Orlena Russell. He passed
away in his home July 26, 2005 at Moore, Oklahoma at the age of 74
years.
Robert grew up in the Elmore City area. He was married to Mary Ann
Johnson at Norman, Oklahoma on August 29, 1979. Joined the U.S. Air
Force and served during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post
4576 in Pauls Valley. Bob was employeed at Tinker AFB where he retired
in 1987. He had lived in Elmore City for 20 years and in Moore for the
past 7 months.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Robert Michael
Russell, sister, Maudie Kinard; 6 brothers, James, Ollie, Earnest,
Harmon, LeRoy and Floyd.
Bob loved music, playing the guitar and dancing. He enjoyed making
wooden toys, sports and reading.
Survived by his wife, Mary Ann Russell, of the home in Moore; their
children, Donna Russell Lane, of Oklahoma City, Rhonda Russell Dean &
husband Andy, of Prague, Jodie Russell & wife Tammie, also of Oklahoma
City, Judy Bell & husband Richard, of California, Mickey Eggleston &
Darrin; grandchildren, S. Sgt. Eric Gilley, Sarah Gilley, Tyler Dean,
Matthew Bell, Jon Bell, Lauren Russell, Kimberlyn Bobbimae Russell and
Brandon Lawhorn; his sister, Ova Campbell, of Pauls Valley; as well as
several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2005 at 4:30 pm at
Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Curt Bartmess. Burial will be at
Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral
Home.
