In Loving Memory Of

Glenna Russell

Glenna Glenna B. Russell, of Pauls Valley was born to Hugh and Myrtie J Beaty.

She passed away January 29, 2010 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years.

Glenna Beaty and Edgar Hal Russell were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on October 3, 1934. She attended the schools at Beaty and Whitebead and furthered her education at East Central College (later a University) in Ada, and the University of Oklahoma in Norman. Glenna earned her Masters in Education and was a School Teacher in the Beaty School and the Pauls Valley Schools for a total of 43 years.

Glenna loved Teaching, but other activities that she enjoyed included house work and yard work, sewing and playing Bridge and greatly enjoyed her church activities at the First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley where she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Myrtie J. Beaty; and her husband, Edgar Hal Russell.

Surviving family include her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Ann and Dr. Nathan Cope, her grandson, Haldavid Cope, all of Gulf Breeze, Florida; and her sister, Junelle Spence, of Paoli.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. A private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Interment and professional services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

There will not be a procession to the cemetery. We will dismiss fro the Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance following a time of visitation of friends and family.

She was such a sweet lady and will be missed.

We were so sorry to hear about your mother.
She was a very sweet and gracious lady.
I had the honor of teaching with her at Hilltop
for several years. She always had a smile for everyone and
an encouraging word for all the staff and students.  We will be praying
for you and your family at this sad time in your lives.
