In Loving Memory Of

Joan Robinson

Joan Robinson, of Pauls Valley, was born July 25, 1937 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Arnold Lee and Lillie R. (Thompson) Watson.

She passed away December 13, 2008 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.

On October 4, 1954 Joan Watson was married to Bill Robinson in Pauls Valley.

When the Glo-Lite Corporation began business in Pauls Valley, Joan went to work for them and worked as a Unit Operator. She worked for Glo-Lite Corp. for many years until their closing the office in Pauls Valley. Later she worked as a Foster Grandparent for the Pauls Valley School System as well as the Pauls Valley State School for about eight years.

Joan’s children and all of her grandchildren were always first in her life. She was a wonderful cook and gardener and loved to crochet and to read books and to write.

She has made Pauls Valley her home most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Robinson; a daughter, Billie Gail Jones; and 3 brothers, Roy Watson; Stanley Watson; and Alvin Watson.

Surviving family include her 5 children, Debbie Brown and her husband Roy, of McCaulley, TX; Ronnie Robinson of McAlester; Barbara Jones and her husband, Bobby, of Wynnewood; Rhonda Ashley and her husband, Donnie, of Foster; and Billy Robbins of Foster; 2 brothers, William Watson of Helena and Hershel Watson of Pauls Valley; 1 sister, Marilyn Askins of Brandon, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Shane Davis, Ray Brown, Rachael Brown, Jo Hanna Robinson, Mickey Ivey, John Michael Jones, Jason Jones, Meah Morals, Leah Gail Mascerro, Joanie Jones, and Luke Arnold; as well as 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance with Rev. Charles Ledbetter officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
