Marvin Eugene 'Gene' Pettigrew

Marvin Eugene 'Gene' Pettigrew, of Pauls Valley was born September 20, 1930 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Jack and Oma (Neighbors) Pettigrew.

He passed away March 8, 2005 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years.

Violet Dehart and Marvin Eugene 'Gene' Pettigrew were married in Wynnewood, Oklahoma on July 11, 1951. Gene worked in Construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator and has made this area his home all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brother, Edward and Edgar Pettigrew; one sister, Lahoma Allen and 1 grandson, Brandon Pettigrew.

Surviving family include his wife of almost 54 years, Violet of the home; three children, Peggy McCarty and her husband, Don, of Wynnewood, Sandy Walker and her husband, James, of Newalla and Bobby Pettigrew and his wife, Jennifer, of Davis; one sister, Mary Jones of Dallas, Texas; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren as well as his best friend, Joe Ree Lucy of Pauls Valley.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Boswell. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
