In Loving Memory Of
Eva Allene Palmer

Eva Allene Palmer, of Pauls Valley was born September 28, 1923 in Capshaw,
Alabama to William and Florence (Snodgrass) Whaley.
She passed away February 7, 2006 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of
82 years.
Eva Allene Whaley was married to Edward M. Palmer in Duncan, Oklahoma on
October 11, 1941. They have made Pauls Valley their home since 1961. After
retiring from C. R. Anthony's, Eva began working at Reavis Drug where she
worked for about 10 years. Among her many activities she enjoyed making
quilts and sewing.
She was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she taught
the first grade Sunday school class, was on the Benevolence and
Hospitality Committees, and was active in the Home Bound Ministry.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jerry Edward Palmer in
1997; two sisters, Minnie Benton and Lelah Taylor; and five brothers,
William Whaley, Ben Whaley, Jim Whaley and John Whaley.
Surviving family include her husband of over 65 years, Edward M. Palmer,
of the home; her children, Wanda J. Schomp and her husband, David of
Edmond and James Palmer and his wife, Carolyn of Garland, Texas; 1
brother, O. L. "Buddy" Whaley of Duncan; 5 sisters, Ida Neal of Marlow,
Effie Palmer of Duncan, Christine Massey of Tennessee, Maxine Branam of
Marlow and Mattie Whaley of Lawton; 9 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in memory of Eva
Allene Palmer be made to the Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley or the
American Heart Association.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10, 2006 at 2:00 pm at
Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Bro. Tim Bowen and Rev. Terry Mott.
Burial will be at Marlow Cemetery under the direction of
Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
