In Loving Memory Of
Mildred Eloise Norwood

Mildred Eloise Norwood, 91, died peacefully on the morning
of July 4, 2005.
She was residing at Brookdale Heritage Crossings, formerly Oklahoma
Christian Retirement Community in Edmond, Oklahoma. Eloise was preceded in
death by her husband, L. B. Norwood. Other surviving family include her
daughter Linda Lou Norwood of Okarche and Ramona Arnold and her husband
Phil, of Edmond; two grandchildren Larry Arnold, of Lawrence, Kansas and
Janice Arnold of Wichita, Kansas; a sister Patsy Flowers of Kingston,
Oklahoma; also surviving are two nieces, Donna Kaye Obermeyer, and Laura
Easton.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents Oly and Mary Vaught, Sr., a
sister Juanita Willingham, and a brother Oly Vaught, Jr.
Eloise was born in Marlow, Oklahoma on November 14, 1913. She and L. B.
Norwood were married on January 28, 1933 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
She was a long time resident of Pauls Valley and Wynnewood, Oklahoma. She
became a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pauls Valley in 1929.
She was active in Presbyterian Women's Vesper Circle; the Joy County
Extension Club; and the Garden Club. She began painting about the age of
sixty and enjoyed painting with oil paint, watercolors, and china
painting. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends in her
home.
Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Pauls Valley
Thursday, July 7th at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet
Cemetery under the direction of the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
