James T. Mumford

James T. Mumford, of Pauls Valley, was born September 18, 1922 in the Civit Community near Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to James Taylor and Rachael (Clement) Mumford.

He passed away March 2, 2007 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years.

He worked many years as a Truck Driver and is a retired Garvin County Employee. James was a member of Church of Christ and has made the Pauls Valley area his home all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Ola Marie Cheatham, Ruby Taylor, Mattie Bowman; 3 brothers, Ray Mumford, Joe Williams and Willie Mumford.

Surviving family include his brother, Tommy Mumford and his wife, Louise, of Fox, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Williams of Pauls Valley and Zona Mumford of Duncan; a host of nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 2007 at 10:30 am at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Roy Shave. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
