Anita Uvonne Moyers

Anita Uvonne Moyers, of Pauls Valley was born May 1, 1940 in Johnsonville, Oklahoma to J. C. and Maxine Stanford. She passed away October 12, 2006 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years.

Uvonne was married to Murl Moyers at the Assembly of God Church in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on November 14, 1976. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was a bookkeeper for Maxwell Ford for 20 years. Uvonne was a pianist & organist for the Christian Life Church. She and Dewayne Klepper, David Lemon & Beverly Brown sang as a quartet for many years. Music and the church were her life.

Uvonne was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Maxine Stanford.

Surviving family include her husband, Murl Moyers of the home; 3 children, Phyllis Stephens, Linda Harmon & husband Alvin, and Kay Joyner & husband Jim all of Pauls Valley; 6 grandchildren, Tina Mainard, Sandy Goggans, Mel Joyner, Jeniece Tate, Stephanie Potthoff, Brandon Stephens, 9 great grandchildren, brother and sisters in law, Pearl & Goyd James, of OKC; Dorothy & the late Charles Courtney, of Mustang; Ollie & Lawana Moyers, of Gainesville, Texas; Wanda & Eddie Oldham, of Okc; Frank & Betty Moyers, of Yukon; and Linda & the late Don Moyers, of Pauls Valley; aunt, Florene Klepper, host of cousins, nieces & nephews, including, Dewayne Klepper & Marlene, Carla Skelton & Keith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 11:00 am at Christian Life Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by Dewayne Klepper and Neal Barlow.
