In Loving Memory Of

Donald Ray Moyer

Donald Ray Moyer, of Pauls Valley was born September 18, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Harry F. and Emily M. (Shepard) Moyer.

On December 30, 2004 at Oklahoma City Veteran's Hospital at the age of 57 years,  Donnie lost his life after a battle from diseases incurred during the Vietnam War. He gave his life for his country 34 years later. Donnie was our hero. He struggled hard & long but he is no longer suffering. He is walking the streets of gold.

Donald Ray Moyer and Linda Bowles were married in Pauls Valley on February 27, 1971.

His primary career was that as a Truck Driver until his service connected disability caused him to retire. He served in the U. S. Army and was a Veteran of the Viet Nam War. The Pauls Valley area has been his home all of his life and was a member of the Christian Life Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Harry & Emily Moyer; his sister, Gladys Chick; and a daughter, Lachelle Moyer.

Surviving family include his wife of 33 years, Linda Moyer of the home; 3 children, RaDonna Robbins & her husband, Scott of Pauls Valley, Chad Moyer and his wife, Kristy, of Tulsa, and  Amber Bruecher and her husband, Marshall, of Pauls Valley; 3 brothers, Murl Moyers of Pauls Valley, Ollie Moyer of Greenville, Texas and  Frank Moyer, of Yukon; 3 sisters, Pearl James of Oklahoma City, Dorothy Courtney of Mustang and Wanda Oldham, of Oklahoma City; 9 grandchildren, Justyce James, Hannah, Kelsey & Kylee Robbins, Caleb & Kaycee Moyer, Aulora & Erin Moyer,  and Embrelin Bruecher to be born in March; 1 great grandson, Mason Robbins.

Donnie adored his grandchildren. He loved spending time and doing all kinds of things with them.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel, officiated by Rev. Steve Cofer and Pastor Neil Barlow. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
