In Loving Memory Of

Virginia Lee Morrison

Virginia Lee Morrison, of Pauls Valley was born November 29, 1926 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Romie and Edna Hevron. She passed away November 28, 2006 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.

She graduated high school in Ft. Smith. While there she worked as an usher in a local movie theatre during her high school days. Virginia was married to John H. Morrison in June 1944 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. While still in Ft. Smith she worked in a furniture store and in 1953 she and John came to make Pauls Valley their home. They were blessed with three children: Brenda, Kevin and Karen.

In Pauls Valley she worked at Sooner Music for a time and then for Singer Sewing Machines where she taught a class in sewing. Later, in 1962, she began working for G. E. Trahern Heating and Air Conditioning. In 1977 the Trahern family sold the business to John and Virginia. "Ginny" was a Co-Owner and bookkeeper of the G. E. Trahern Heat and Air and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Romie & Edna Hevron; her brother Romie Hevron and sister Pauline Henderson; and her son, Kevin Morrison in 1994.

Surviving family include her husband of 62 years, John H. Morrison of the home; two daughters, Brenda and her husband, Carey Krause of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Karen and her husband, Willie Schooley of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren, Daniel & Aaron Krause and Jake, Dillon and Rachel Schooley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 10:30 am at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Terry Mott. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
