Willie Marie Moore

Willie Marie Moore, of Pauls Valley was born March 1, 1929 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Sam and Laura (Burkhart) Gilbert.

She passed away January 11, 2006 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years.

In her younger years she had worked in an Elmore City grocery store for a time.

On December 8, 1947 Willie Marie Gilbert was married to James Howard Moore at her parents home in Wynnewood. She was a Minister's wife, loving mother and grandmother as well as a homemaker. The Garvin County area has been her home most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Tom Gilbert, Sam Gilbert, Ray Gilbert and Hobert Gilbert; and 2 sisters, Sarah Maynard and Roxie Fitzgerald.

Surviving family include her husband of over 58 years, Rev. Howard Moore of the home; 2 children, Lanny Moore and his wife, Diana, of Oklahoma City and Sharon Kay Dannak and her husband, Subhash, of Detroit, Michigan; 1 brother, Oford Gilbert, of Wynnewood; 2 sisters, Blanche Radden and her husband, Don, of Pauls Valley and Jane Faulkner, of Wynnewood; 4 grandchildren, Doug Brooks, Michael Moore and his wife, Melanie, of Moore, Sherri Schader and her husband, Derek, of Edmond and Jeff Moore and his wife, Lacy, of Moore; 2 great-grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Moore; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Troy Baker. Burial will be at Maysville Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home of Pauls Valley.
