In Loving Memory Of

George Miller Mitchell

George Miller Mitchell, of Pauls Valley was born August 4, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to George Pat and Ressie Lee (Miller) Mitchell.

He passed away October 5, 2009 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years.

George was married to Carol LeMay in Gainesville, Texas on April 5, 1966. He worked as a Service Technician with the Lone Star Gas Company and then later with the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company.

He was a member of Pauls Valley Church of the Nazarene.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George Pat and Ressie Lee Mitchell.

Surviving family include his wife of 43 years, Carol of the home; 3 daughters, Pamela Sue Wade and her husband, James, of Paoli; Patricia Lynn Hollingsworth and her husband, Ralph, of Prairie Grove, Arkansas and Paula Jean Mitchell VanHooser of Pauls Valley; 7 grandchildren, Caleb Wade, Lauren Wade, Andrew Wade, Patrick Hollingsworth, Caroline Hollingsworth, Taylor Barbara Carol VanHooser and Tisha Georgeann Mitchell VanHooser; as well as 1 sister, Vivian Bowman of Yukon; and 1 brother, Joe Mitchell, of Paoli.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Wade, James Wade, Patrick Hollingsworth, Ralph Hollingsworth, Phil Donihoo, Blake LeMay, and Billy LeMay. Honorary Pallbearers will include Bob Scroggins, Clarence Rogers, Dalton Tucker and Stanley Johnson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Claude Ledbetter. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

I’m so sorry for the loss of George.
I have many good memories during fishing or vacations together.
He was like a dad for me and I will never forget him.
I will continue praying for each one of you.
I know he is in a much better place and he is not hurting anymore.
