Annie E. "Gran" Mitchell

Annie E. "Gran" Mitchell, of Wayne was born September 15, 1925 in Blair, Oklahoma to James Aaron and Mary (Hockett) Boney.

"Gran" passed away December 9, 2004 at Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.

Carl James Mitchell and Annie E. Boney were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on July 7, 1941.

She was a loving mother and homemaker and a member of Paoli United Pentecostal Church.

Annie was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Carl James Mitchell on August 26, 1980; 4 children, Larry Keith Mitchell, Roger James Mitchell, Carleen Claunch and Marquetta Webb; and 4 brothers, Paul "Pete" Boney, Roy Boney, O. J. Boney and J. A. Boney.

Surviving family include her 4 children, Shirley Ann Griffith and her husband, Donald, of Sand Springs; Aletha Diane Abney and her husband, Jerry, Norvella Griffith and Carl Aaron Mitchell all of Wayne; 1 sister, Ethel Lorraine Branum, of Warren, Texas; 1 brother, Joel Boney and his wife, Geneva, of Pauls Valley; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Carl Aaron Mitchell, Matthew Webb, Donald Griffith, Jr., Bobby Webb, James Griffith, and Bryan Fuller. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rodger Wayne Webb, Donald Griffith, Sr. and Dennis Boney.
 

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 13, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Paoli United Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Terry Erwin. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
