Sally Jean "Jeannie" Meador, of Norman, was born
February 9, 1949 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Owen P. and Rachel L. (Parkey)
Webster.
She passed away October 20, 2007 at Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 58
years.
Jeannie was a resident of Norman, Oklahoma and worked for Couch
Cafeteria at the University of Oklahoma for 36 years. She attended East
Central University where she received her Bachelor's Degree and also
attended the University of Oklahoma in nutrition and accounting. She and
Homer Gene Meador were married in Ada, Oklahoma in 1971. She was an avid
reader and she loved singing. She was an active member of the New
Beginnings Al-Anon group in Norman. She attended the United Pentecostal
Church with her family through the years and became a member of the
First Baptist Church of Wayne in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Gene Meador and by her
parents, Owen and Rachel Webster.
Surviving family include her sister and husband, Phil and Luanne Heine
of Council Bluffs, Iowa; her sister, Loretta Frizell of Paoli; her
brother and his wife, Michael and Kathie Webster of Macomb; her sister
and her husband, Richard and Robin Newton of Wynnewood; 15 nieces and
nephews; 26 great nieces and nephews, and many of her husband's, beloved
nieces and nephews., She also had a great many special friends,
especially the New Beginnings group of Norman, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Richard Newton and
Rev. Rick McGee. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction
of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
