Lawanda Ruth Parten-Lynch

LaWanda Ruth Parten-Lynch of Comfort, Texas formerly of Pauls Valley was born September 7, 1933 in Greenwood, Texas to Dick and Fay White Bishop. She passed away August 11, 2005 at Comfort, Texas at the age of 71 years.

LaWanda married Lloyd E. Parten on June 17, 1950 and he passed away on January 1, 1985.

She married Warren Lynch on July 18, 1986 and he passed away on May 28, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Dick & Fay Bishop; and 4 brothers.

LaWanda was affectionately given the nickname "Tooter" by her Uncle Curly Megahee. She will be remembered for her unselfish devotion to others. She ALWAYS put herself last. LaWanda was the ultimate caregiver. Her nephews will be the pallbearers.

Surviving family include her son, Lynn E. Parten of Texas; 2 grandsons, John C. Parten and Laramie E. Parten, one great grandson, Logan Z. Parten; and her sister, Dorthy Brazeau of Decatur, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 14, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Martinez. Burial will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
