Darvel Joe Locke

Darvel Joe Locke, of Pauls Valley was born December 23, 1939 in Center, Oklahoma to Grady and Willie Edna (Jackson) Locke.

He passed away October 21, 2005 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years.

Darvel served in the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of Viet Nam.

He was married to Pat Bleacher from Oklahoma City who preceded him in death in 1991. Darvel was a Route Salesman and Stockman in Oklahoma City for McKessin Drug Company. He lived many years in Oklahoma City and has made Pauls Valley his home for the past 25 years.

Darvel was also preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Leroy Locke.

Surviving family include his three children, Roger Bleacher, Scott Bleacher and Burie Bleacher all of Oklahoma City; he raised a grand-daughter, Cherina Patterson of Holtwood, Pennsylvania; and helped to raise a grand-son, Raymond Bleacher of Oklahoma City. He is also leaves behind one brother, Eddie Locke and a sister, Gaylene Reamer both of Pauls Valley; as well as 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.

Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home provided services for cremation.

Memorial graveside funeral services will be held by the family on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at 3:00 pm at the Rollins Cemetery near Dickson, Oklahoma.
