In Loving Memory Of Cassie Lambert
Our precious mother was taken home to be with the Lord after many years of faithful service. She and her husband Sam pastored & evangelized in Marshall County, Garvin County, McClain County, Cleveland County, Mexico, Texas and California. Cassie was well known for her beautiful alto singing voice and working in the church. The church, her family and singing were her life. She was well known for her pies and loved cooking for others. Words can't describe her love for her family. Her family is very grateful to all of the Hospice Workers for the love and care they have shown to Cassie. Cassie Lambert, of Pauls Valley was born June 12, 1919 in Sebastian County, Arkansas to Nathaniel Martin and Mary Ellen (Blundell) Owens. She passed away February 18, 2005 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years. Rev. Sam Lambert and Cassie Owens were married in Powell, Oklahoma on May 31, 1937. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Cassie lived in this area most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Sam Lambert on August 23, 1984; 3 sons, Wesley Dewitt Lambert, Thomas Lambert and Hansel Lambert; 2 daughters, Oleta Stewart and Christine Woods; 1 brother, Stanley Owens and 4 sisters, Goldie McIntire, Dessie Byar, Hazel Matney and infant Lois Owens. Surviving family include her 5 children, Charles Maddox and his wife Linda of Woodward, Sam Lambert and his wife Carie of Pauls Valley, Edith McElhaney of Pauls Valley, Marie Beaty and her husband L. J. of Pauls Valley and Joyce Woods and her husband John of Norman; 3 sisters, Glessie McGee of Cushion, Francis Payne of Bakersfield, California, and Earlene Craig of Paris, Texas; a host of grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Ronnie Beaty and Rev. Braunell Richie. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
