Mahota Hatch Lafevers

Mahota Hatch Lafevers, of Paoli was born July 8, 1918 in Comanche, Oklahoma to William Marvin and Tennie (Rachel) Hatch. She passed away April 10, 2006 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87 years.

Mahota was married to Orgil V. Lafevers on May 12, 1935 in Province, Oklahoma. He passed away 68 years later on September 13, 2003. Mahota loved her Lord and was baptized into Christ in 1947. She lived in Paoli since November 1992 and was a lifelong member of The Church of Christ.

Mahota was preceded in death by her parents, William & Tennie Hatch; her husband, Orgil V. Lafevers; daughter, Shirley Eldridge; sister, Mildred Williams and grandson, Kyle McIntyre.

Surviving family include her children, Glenda Diller and her husband Merlin, of Wynnewood, Joan Little and her husband Allen, of Oklahoma City, Jenny McIntyre and her husband Doug, of Paoli, Brad Lafevers & his wife Mary, of Americus, Georgia, son-in-law, Leon Eldridge of Edmond; brother, Herman Hatch of Duncan; her sister, Jo Mullens of Stratford; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Church of Christ, P. O. Box 411 in Paoli, Oklahoma 73074.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 10:00 am at Paoli First Baptist Church officiated by Fred Butler. Burial will be at Paoli Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
