Bertha J. Knight

Bertha J. Knight, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, was born January 13, 1925 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, the middle of twelve children to Toy Cleveland and Ola Ethyl (Davis) Ledford.

She passed away March 10, 2007 at Harrah, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years.

Bertha was married to Ernest Webb who preceded her in death in 1985.

She worked in restaurant management for 25 years with most of that time at Harry's Steak House in Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta had been her home most of her life. Seven years ago she returned to Oklahoma to be closer to her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Cornelius Morgan Knight; 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving family includes: one brother, Vernon Ledford, of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a host of nieces and nephews as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Chaplin Ray Wade. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
