In Loving Memory Of

William Henry Kinard

William “Henry” Kinard, of Ardmore, was born August 20, 1938 in Elmore City, Oklahoma to Lester and Maudie Russell Kinard.

He passed away March 11, 2010 in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.

Henry had lived in Ardmore most of his life. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. Henry was the former Chief of Police in Wynnewood and retired from the police force in Ardmore after many years of service. Henry loved his family, especially his grandchildren including his grandson, Bubba, who helped care for him during his last days. He was a member of Lord's Church in Ardmore.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori Marlene Vaughn and sister, Lessie Engle.

Surviving family include his 4 children, Patricia June Thigpin and her husband, Doug, of Ft. Smith, Ark,; Ardina Lynn Kain of Colorado; William Murphy Kinard of Ardmore; and Henry Dewayne Kinard and his wife, Sonya, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; 3 sisters, Sue and Jerry Turner, Helen Tennison and Bonnie Peters; a brother in law, Dwain Brumley of Pauls Valley; 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Rev. Charles Ledbetter. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
