In Loving Memory Of

Kenneth M. Kidd

Kenneth M. Kidd, of Pauls Valley was born July 14, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away July 13, 2008 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years. He and Dorothy Benjamin were married in 1943.

Kenneth served 2 years during WWII in the Seabee's, a division of the Navy, and was stationed in New Guinea. Kenneth spent most of his adult life in construction work as a Master Welder. His wife Dorothy passed away in 1977. In 1990 he and Wanda Williamson were married. Kenneth was an accomplished artist and after retiring, spent many hours in his studio with his paintings. His master piece "The Supreme Sacrifice" is a 2 x 4 ft. oil painting depicting the crucifixion of Jesus.

For several years, he and Wanda entered art exhibitions thru out Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri. This was a very enjoyable time meeting and visiting with other artists. He was a member of Paoli United Pentecostal Church. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy; son, Kenny Kidd; daughter, Peggy Williamson and eleven brothers and sisters.

Surviving family include his wife, Wanda of the home; children, Jeri Harlan and her husband, Cleon, of St. Louis, Missouri; Matthew Kidd and his wife, Dawn, of Muncie, Indiana; and John Williamson and his wife, Barbara, of Oklahoma City; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11:00 am at Paoli United Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Terry Erwin and Rev. Matthew Kidd. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
