Johnson

Mildred Treadaway Johnson, of Pauls Valley was born
April 14, 1920 in Bow Legs, Oklahoma to Edith and Oliver Treadaway. She
passed away December 12, 2008 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of
88 years.
During WWII she was proud to work as the head waitress in the Officer's
Dining Room at the Veteran's Hospital in Sulphur. She married Paschal
Carnez Johnson at Maysville, Oklahoma on July 23, 1943, and they made
their residence in Pauls Valley. After staying home to raise her two
sons, she worked as an attendant at the Pauls Valley State School where
she retired in the early 1980's.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver & Edith Treadaway; her
husband, Carnez Johnson on June 19, 1980; and her younger sister, Treva
Batterton.
Survived by her two sons, La Don Carnez Johnson, of Guymon, Ok.; and
Vaughn C. Johnson, of Irving, Tx.; her two grandsons, J. C. Johnson, of
New York City, NY; and Clay Johnson, of Taos, NM; her granddaughter,
Kayla Leigh Johnson, of Guymon, OK.; her youngest sister, Joanne
Torrance, and her niece, Teri Burkhart, of Dodge City, KS;her three
nephews, Lonnie Johnson, of Lindsay, OK.; Eugene Hocutt, of Cupertino,
CA.; and Vince Hocutt, of Loma Linda, CA.; one cousin, Pauline Morgan,
of Pauls Valley.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2008 at 2:00 pm at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment
will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey
Funeral Home.
