Jere Wayne Ivy

Jere Wayne Ivy, of Pauls Valley was born April 20, 1983
in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Jere Douglas Ivy and Trudy Lynn Ivy.
He passed away March 31, 2007 at Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 23
years.
He came with his parents to Pauls Valley in 1986 at an early age. Jere
attended Whitebead School and is a graduate of Pauls Valley High School
Class of 2000. He furthered his education by attending U C O in Edmond.
He attended the Trinity Baptist Church in Pauls Valley. He primarily
worked as a carpenter in construction.
Jere loved and played many sports while growing up, including soccer,
karate, baseball, football, basketball, golf, fishing, pool, horseback
riding, water skiing and snow skiing. Jere was a very hard worker and a
great provider for his family. He was a wonderful dad and husband. He
also loved to cook. Jere loved his family and told his mom she was his
best friend very recently and numerous other times. When Jere was not
working and spending time with his immediate family, he loved to play
with and spend time with his nephew, Kylnn, whom adored Jere; and his
niece, Jordynn. Through Jere's struggles with life he always found a way
to show us how big his heart was and how much he loved us.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jere Derrick Ivy.
Surviving family include his wife, Christina; their son, Alec Jeremiah
Ivy, all of the home; his parents, Trudy and Dewayne Workman of Elgin;
Jimmy Fields of Pauls Valley; and Doug Ivy of Houston, Texas, currently
serving as a civilian contract worker in Iraq; his sister and brother in
law, Kandice and Jeff January of Weatherford, Oklahoma; 2 step-brothers,
Michael Shane Fields of Yukon and Jason Dean Fields of Norman; his
mother and father-in-law, Butch & Linda Riegel, of Davis; 1 niece,
Jordynn and 1 nephew, Kylnn as well as numerous aunts, uncles and
cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 2:00 pm at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Bro. Larry Thoma.
Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of
Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. |
