Jessie Holder

Jessie Holder, of Pauls Valley was born May 13, 1919 in Missouri to Keith R. and Irene Goss Sorrell. She passed away July 21, 2006 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.

She married Roy M. "Boots" Holder on May 10, 1938 in Wolfe, Oklahoma. They lived in Pauls Valley for over 60 years. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her family was very important to her. Jessie was a member of 1st Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith & Irene Sorrell; her husband, Roy M. "Boots" Holder in 1984; son, Gene Holder on Jan. 31, 2001; brothers & sister, Cletus Sorrell, Burnes Sorrell Edwards, Curtis Sorrell and Russell Sorrell.

Surviving family include her son and his wife, Gail & Mary Sue Holder of Pauls Valley; daughter in law, Peggy Holder of Pauls Valley; 5 grandchildren, Tommy Holder of Wayne; Shelly Thompson & husband Monte of Davis; Shana Holder of Pauls Valley; Matt Holder & wife Kena of Sulphur; and Teri Landis of Pauls Valley; 7 great grandchildren, Ashley Blackwell, Jaylea Thompson, Jaycea Thompson, Hannah Holder, Huston Holder, Kelsey Harrell and Alexandria Holder.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 24, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Robin Spurling. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
