In Loving Memory Of

Seth A. Hensley, Jr.

Seth A. Hensley, Jr., of Pauls Valley was born August 6, 1927 in Beaumont, Texas to Seth A. Hensley and Alma M. (Burton) Hensley.

He passed away March 23, 2008 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.

Seth grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana. He joined the Navy during WWII but because of his age they sent him home. Later he joined the U. S. Army and served his tour of duty during WWII in the Air Corp of the U. S. Army.

He worked in the oil field as an Oil Field Supervisor until his retirement from the Mobil Oil Company on December 1, 1984.

In September, 1976, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Mary Hensley. On October 10, 1977 he and Dorothy (Payne) Grounds were married in Longview, Texas.

They have made Pauls Valley their home since 1978; and are members of the Valley Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 daughter, Melissa Jo Hensley in April 1961; and a sister, Elizabeth Hollowell from Shreveport, Louisiana.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; children, Seth Hensley, III and his wife, Judy, of Sulphur; Susan Marchbanks and her husband, Fred, of Pauls Valley; and Randy Grounds of Seattle; grandchildren, Sara Claggett and her husband, Lance, of Sulphur; Heath Marchbanks and his wife, Jennifer, of Pauls Valley; Gregg Grounds and his wife, Jennifer, of Pauls Valley; Tony Marchbanks and his wife, Michelle, of Houston, Texas; Leisa Hall and her husband, Greg; great-grandchildren, Cade Claggett, Avery Claggett, Ty Hall, Kaleb Hall, Luke Hall, Madison Marchbanks, Manuel Marchbanks, Kale Marchbanks, Cody Claggett and Kristen Claggett; and by 1 brother, Eddie Hensley of Prairie Lea, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Valley Christian Church officiated by Rev. Larry Cornforth. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Pat and I so regret that we cannot be with you to honor Seth tomorrow and celebrate the resurrection of his soul. Please know that we join you in your sorrow. We are grateful to God that Seth lived a good, long life surrounded by many who loved him. He will be missed.
