Mary Estelle Henderson

Mary Estelle Henderson, of Pauls Valley was born December 13, 1919 in Elmore City, Oklahoma and was the youngest of nine children born to Robert Lee and Mary Lou (Buzbee) Henderson.

She passed away April 11, 2005 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 85 years.

Mary was a 1939 graduate of Elmore City High School and furthered her education by attending East Central University in Ada.

On April 14, 1945 Mary began a tour of duty in the Womens Army Corp (WAC) and worked as a Surgical Technician following her training at Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia. She was a Private in the U.S. Army and a veteran of World War II.

Mary was a member of Christian Life Pentecostal Holiness Church in Pauls Valley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Mary Lou Henderson; 5 brothers, Cleve Henderson, Roy Henderson, Lloyd Henderson, R. B. Henderson and Buford Henderson; and by 3 sisters, Goldie Jongeward, Myrtle Benson and Nobie Laudermilk.

Surviving family include numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 10:00 am at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Rev. M. E. Sellers. Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
