I as well as most past students were shocked to hear about Mrs. Hartley. She was an amazing person to learn from. She always had something to say to make you smile no matter how your day was going. She also touched each of our hearts, and encouraged us to keep going with our career and to better ourselves no matter what others said. My deepest condolences to the family and friends. I love you and we will miss you deeply!!

I will miss Brenda dearly, however knowing that she is watching over us all is a comfort.  Her infectious smile, her wit and her loyalty to her family and her job will be truly missed.  She was my dear friend and co-worker that was always there for me.  I hope that it is a comfort to you all to know that we prayed daily at work before classes began and that we always prayed for our family and friends.  She loved the Lord and she loved being a teacher.  I have received so many phone calls from her students that exhibited their love for "MaMa Hartley".  She touched and molded many lives.  Please except my condolences and my prayers for you all.

Mrs. Hartley was a blessing to our family in so many ways.  She was a great co-worker with our Mom (Vernice James), and she was constantly sending our children gifts and giving all of us words of encouragement.  We were blessed to know her and she will be missed by the James family.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. I knew her as a kid growing up in Paoli and always thought she was just the sweetest and prettiest lady. She always said hello and smiled at us as we were passing her in the store or wherever we saw her. She loved her kids and everyone knew it, and her grandkids.
I just wanted to let Brandy and Robert know that they are in our prayers and
we are so deeply sorry.

I dearly loved Brenda Hartley, she was a great teacher as well as a friend. She helped me out so much. She gave me a scripture in the mornings to read that gave me peace throughout the day. She was a true blessing to me and could always put a smile on my face. Her answer to everything was pray about it and if you still don't know what to do come see me and in the mean time I will be praying too. She was fun, loving, and caring. She would always joke around with us in class, but most of all no matter what she prayed for us as well as loved each of us. I know in times like these it is hard, but may your family know that I am praying for you and Brenda was truly loved by her students.
