Thomas "Keith" Hankins

Thomas "Keith" Hankins, of Byars, Oklahoma, loved by family and friends,
passed this life Friday, September 8, 2006 at Deaconess Hospital in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 52 years after a long battle with
Diabetes. Keith was born December 1, 1953 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to
Carl and Maudine (Golden) Hankins.
He grew up in Byars and was a member of the Byars Church of Christ. He
graduated from Wayne High School in 1972, and worked over 20 years in
the automotive business around Oklahoma City and Norman before returning
to Byars to live in 1999 due to his failing health.
Keith loved spending time with family, friends, and loved all sports,
especially the OU Sooners.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Carl Hankins, grandparents,
and nephew, Lance Richardson.
Surviving family include his mother, Maudine Hankins of Byars; one
brother, Dennis and Virginia Hankins of Moore; one sister, Sherry and
Ray Martin of Byars; three nieces, LeAnne Richardson, Tamara Prater and
Cristi Deeds; one nephew, Justin Hankins; and three great-nieces,
Ashley, Alyssa and Kerry Deeds. He was known as "Bubba" by all his
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 11:00 am at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance in Pauls Valley. Services included
sharing memories by close friends of Keith and his family. Interment
followed at the Byars Cemetery in Byars, Oklahoma under the direction of
Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home. Notes of Remembrance and/or Condolences

Pallbearers were: David "Zack" Powell, Trent Baggett, Joe Bob Dawson, Bo
Cail, Don Cail and Tony Ellis.
