Boyd A. "Sarge" Haggard

Boyd A. "Sarge" Haggard, of Paoli was born August 5, 1918 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Thomas Haggard and Dolly Boyd Haggard. He passed away March 14, 2007 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Boyd grew up in Clinton and made Paoli his home for the past 40 years.

Boyd was married to Rosalea Hunter at Ada, Oklahoma in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a member of Christian Life Church in Pauls Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Harold Haggard.

Survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalea Haggard of Paoli; four children, Shirley Gray of Broken Arrow; Donnie Haggard of Paoli; Loyd Haggard of McCloud and Judy Williamson of Oklahoma City; one sister, Ruth Drake, of Oklahoma City; 8 grandchildren, Kristian Jones, Kristi Haggard, Michael Haggard, Miranda Gray, Steven Barton, Brandon Haggard, Erin Haggard and Stuart Gray, 3 great grandchildren, Caitlin Mavis, Taylar Haggard, and Trevor Jones.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Aldon Preston.
