Greenwalt

Thayer Elmo Greenwalt, 83 years of age passed from this life March 13th,
2006 at the Pauls Valley General Hospital. Thayer was born July 9th, 1922
in Burtrum, Minnesota. His parents were Tracy Elwood Greenwalt and Fannie
Golden Greenwalt.
Mr. Greenwalt loved fishing and cooking for his friends and family. He
graduated High School with a scholarship to college. But due to the war
and war efforts he ended up in California to help build ships. This is
where he met and married his wife, Nora Beatrice Potter Greenwalt who
preceded him in death. They were married for 58 years.
Thayer was preceded in death by his parents and wife. His surviving family
includes one sister, Lorna Halgrimson, Minneapolis, Minnesota,
sisters-in-law, Dora Veatrice Potter Reece of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma,
Dessie Manning, Palestine, Texas and Lillian Mitchell, Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Nieces and families, Chuck and Jane Pollack, Annandale,
Minnesota, Eilene Sjoverg of Minnesota, Bob and Jule’ann Bull of Minnesota,
Dewayne and Karen Soland, Plymouth, Minnesota, Brent and Stacy Rich,
Flower Mound, Texas, Henry and Leona Niemeyer, Lone Prairie, Minnesota,
and Andy and Betty Staricka, Swanville, Minnesota, Dave and Linda Agee,
Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Dr. Sherrilyn Reece, Washington, Oklahoma, Ron and
Shirley Blackburn, Stratford, Oklahoma, LaVerne and Bonnie McDade, Higden,
Arkansas, Margie Morgan, Moberly, Missouri, and a host of other nieces and
nephews.
Although, Uncle Ted never had children of his own he loved his nieces and
their children. The Grandchildren considered him to be a Great
Grandfather. He spent a lot of time with Elaine Martha Agee, Meredith
Grace Agee, Victoria Rose Agee, Adam Nathaniel Cooper, and Cassidy Dawn
Cooper. He always made sure they had Birthday cards, Christmas gifts, or
whatever he thought they might need. He was a very thoughtful and caring
person.
Mr. Greenwalt will be missed by his close friends whom made special
efforts to visit him while he was ill.

Hospital Foundation to the skilled nursing unit in care of the Pauls
Valley General Hospital at 100 Valley Drive in Pauls Valley, Ok. 73075.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, March 20, 2006 at 11:00 am
at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment will be
at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey
Funeral Home.
