LaNita Kaye (Holt) Gillespie

LaNita Kaye (Holt) Gillespie, of Eufaula, was born September 15, 1946 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Stella Iva (Beddo) Holt and the late Rossie B. Holt. She passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years. She was married to Dennis Ray Gillespie February 4, 1965.

Kaye is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ray Gillespie of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Terry Gillespie of Norman; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Steve Hopkins of Eufaula.

She is also survived by her mother of Pauls Valley; 3 brothers, Gerald Holt and James and Patsy Holt all of Pauls Valley and Keith and Linda Holt of Honolulu, Hawaii; 3 sisters, Annette and Paul Bowles of Pauls Valley, Nellie and Monty Anderson of Carson City, NV, and Carolyn Sue Fitzgerald of Falling Waters, WV. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Helen Gillespie, and sister-in-law, Karen Sue Bowie, both of Pauls Valley, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a nephews and a host of friends.

Preceding her in death were her father and one sister, Bette Millis, of Lompoc, CA.

Kaye had five wonderful grandchildren who brought her great joy. They are Hunter, Mariah, Britton, Tyler and Isabella.

Kaye was raised in the Pauls Valley area and had lived in the Eufaula/Stigler area for the past 4 years where she owned and operated Gillespie Title Services.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance. Interment will be at the Whitebead Cemetery in the Whitebead Community under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
