Carolyn Sue Hickman Garrison, of DeSoto was born March
12, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Burton Lee and Mildred Evona
Smith Hickman. She passed away March 18, 2008 at DeSoto, Texas at the
age of 65 years.
Carolyn grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from High School in 1961.
Carolyn was married to Joe Tom Garrison at El Reno, Oklahoma on May 21,
1966. She lived in DeSota since 1976. Carolyn had a green thumb and
loved to garden and was an award winning cook. She was a very loving,
sweet and generous person. She was preceded in death by her father,
Burton Hickman; and her husband, Joe Tom Garrison on February 20, 1995.
Surviving family include her 2 children, Evona Julene Walker and her
husband, Rodrick Walker, of Carrollton, Texas; and Evelyn Margo
Garrison, of DeSoto, Texas; 2 grandchildren, Jared Brigham Walker and
Linsey Faith Walker, mother, Mildred Evona Hickman, of Oklahoma City,
brother, David Lee Hickman and his wife, Sandra Kay Hickman, of Yukon;
sister, LilOna Ann Ragland and her husband, Roger Ragland, of Luther;
half brother, Billie Lee Hickman, of Broken Arrow; mother in law, Evelyn
Garrison, of Pauls Valley; brother in law, Billy Garrison, of Pauls
Valley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 10:00 am at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment
will be at McGee Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey
Funeral Home.
