Billy LaMont Fahle

Billy LaMont Fahle, 73 years of age, passed away
peacefully, Friday, December 16, 2005, in the Baptist Health Center in
Little Rock, Arkansas, after fighting a 4-year battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Hannibal, Missouri, May 26, 1932, to Roland Henry and
Lena Pearl Rickey Fahle. Bill attended Eastern Oklahoma College on a
football scholarship and received his Associate in Science degree from
there in 1952. He continued his education at Oklahoma Agricultural and
Mechanical College/Oklahoma State University where he received his
Bachelor of Science degree in 1954, in Agriculture.
On October 23, 1954, Bill married Pauline Collier. After their marriage he
was drafted into the U. S. Army and sent to the Stuttgart, Germany area.
Pauline joined him in May of 1955 and their older son, Rickey, was born in
Germany. Upon their return to the states, Bill continued his education at
Oklahoma State University where he received his Masters degree in 1959.
During the time he was working on his Masters, his second son, Monte, was
born. Immediately following his schooling, Bill accepted a position with
Oklahoma Extension Service. Later he accepted a position with the Arkansas
Extension Service in Monticello, Murfreesboro and Perryville, where he
retired. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club.
Bill is survived by his loving companion, Mary Ann Wilcher; two sons,
Monte Paul Fahle and his wife, Jeane, of Nevada, Missouri and Rickey Gene
Fahle and his wife, Brenda, of Ashville, Arkansas; three granddaughters
and two grandsons; one brother, Lester Fahle and his wife, Effie, of
Groesbeck, Texas; one niece, Regina Smith and her husband, Ken.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Lena Fahle; and one
nephew, Eddie Fahle.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 19, 2005 at 10:00 am at Harris
Funeral Home in Morrilton, Arkansas.
Graveside services and interment was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery beside his
parents in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at 10:00
am., under the direction of the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls
