In Loving Memory Of

Edith Bell King Etheredge

Edith Bell King was born August 20, 1921 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Oscar and Claurice King and lived most of her life in Wynnewood.

She attended Wynnewood Public Schools and was a member of the Wynnewood First Baptist Church.

Edith was married to Jack C. Etheredge on June 17, 1939. She shared her life with Jack as a homemaker, preparing a home for her three sons. Jack preceded her in death in 1988. Also preceding her in death are her parents, Oscar and Claurice King; three brothers, Pete, Jewel and W. O. King; a sister, Lena Graves and a grandson, Matthew Etheredge.

Surviving family include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Wendy Etheredge of Little Elm, Texas; Hugh Dean and Kerri Etheredge of Lindale, Texas; and Jay and Sharon Etheredge of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Drew Etheredge of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Erin Ann Etheredge of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Brittani Etheredge of Mustang, Oklahoma; and Joey Etheredge, of Allen, Texas; three step-grandchildren, Brett and Bryce Harris of Little Elm, Texas; and Sharon Burgess, Lindale, Texas; a niece and her husband, Jackie and Ed Simmons of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and their three children, Mike, Sandra and Randy.

She spent the past two years of her life with her new found friends and family at The Willows Assisted Living Center in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

She passed away September 9, 2007 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.

Edith will be laid to rest with her husband, Jack, on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 1:00 pm at Whitebead Cemetery officiated by Michael Dobbins. Interment will be at Whitebead Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
