In Loving Memory Of

Sue Colley

Callie "Sue" Colley, 78, of Pauls Valley passed away Sunday, December 12, 2004. She was born to Claude "Perry" Pearson and Pearl Cregger Pearson in Paoli, Oklahoma on July 10, 1926. She graduated from Paoli High School.

She and her beloved husband, Erwin R. Colley, married in 1947 by Dr. Reynolds in the 1st Presbyterian Manse in Pauls Valley. Together they founded and operated Colley and Company in 1957 in Pauls Valley. Sue will ever be remembered as a cherished and loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt. She dedicated much of her life in service to her community and was a devoted and caring friend to all who knew her. She was a Charter Member of Valley Christian Church, served on the Board of Directors for Pauls Valley National Bank, Past President and active member of the Pauls Valley General Hospital Auxiliary, and was a Past Matron of The Order of the Eastern Star. In 2003, Sue took great pleasure in serving her community as President of "Main Street" -a Historical Renewal Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents Perry & Pearl Pearson; and husband of 36 years, Erwin R. Colley on April 30, 1985; brother Pete Pearson; half brother Jack Miller and sister Anna Pearson Robison.

Sue is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Robert "Bob" & Pat Colley, of German Town, TN, and Joe & Ruth Anne Colley, of Pauls Valley; sister, Mary Alice Matthews, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Dr. Jeremy Colley of New York City, NY, Amanda Colley of Boston, MA, Erin Colley Babcock & husband, Stephen, of Richardson, TX, Anna Pearson Colley of Ft. Collins, Co., and Reid Warren Colley of Pauls Valley. She is also survived by many much loved nieces and nephews; a brother in law, Oman Ledgerwood, of Edmond, and sisters- in- law, Mrs. Pete (Opal) Pearson of Pauls Valley, and Mrs. E. J. (Othelia) Colley of Madill; and numerous devoted friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 2:00 pm at 1st Presbyterian Church officiated by Chuck Lightfoot , Rev. Tom Buzbee and Rev. Larry Cornforth. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
