In Loving Memory Of

Frances Florine Butler Coil

Florine, passed away September 23, 2006 in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Luther and Florence Butler, March 24, 1911, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She was the 6th of 11 children. Florine grew up on a farm in Pauls Valley and lived most of her adult life in Oklahoma; she married Jenner Coil in June of 1929. After Jenner retired from his medical practice in 1977, he and Florine moved to Dallas to be nearer their grandchildren.

Until her husband's retirement, Florine had worked hand in hand with him in his eye, ear, nose & throat medical practice in Oklahoma City. She was a talented craftswoman who enjoyed sharing her sewing, knitting, ceramics, decoupage and painting. Florine (Mimi) especially loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and often shared these activities with them. She was also an avid bridge player. Her quick wit and humor were unmatched by anyone and we will forever remember the fun and sparkle she brought to every gathering.

Florine was preceded in death by her husband Jenner G. Coil, M.D., by her sisters: Grace, Hazel, Mildred, Madge and Lula May and her brothers: Louis Ray, Haskell, Tom, Billy and Darold.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Davis, son in law, Mike Davis, as well as her grandchildren, Ashley, Brant and Cory of Dallas. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Carl Coil and her sister-in-law, Mary Newel Coil, of Dallas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, September 29, 2006 at 1:30 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley officiated by Pastor Robert Harrison. Services are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
