In Loving Memory Of

Roy Campbell

Roy Bealer Campbell was born in Pauls Valley, November 13, 1911 to parents, Charles E. and Margaret (Ivy) Campbell. He passed away August 20, 2007 in Houston, Texas at the age of 95 years.

Roy graduated from the White Bead High School. He and his wife, Blanche lived in Ada, Oklahoma for 12 years and moved back to Pauls Valley with a seven year old daughter, Anita Louise. Roy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley.

He worked for Warren Petroleum, Texaco and later retired from Gulf Oil Corporation. After retirement, he drove a school bus for the Pauls Valley School District for 10 years. After his second retirement, Roy was head usher and greeter for 16 years at the First Baptist Church. Roy had a full and healthful life, loved his home, family and friends. He also enjoyed football, fishing and at age 95 could win at a good game of dominoes.

In November 2006, Roy and Blanche moved to a retirement home at Village on the Park in Friendswood, Texas to be near their family.

His parents, Charles and Margaret Campbell and an older brother, John Richard Campbell, preceded him in death.

Roy is survived by his wife Blanche; their daughter, Anita Sitter and her husband, Bill; grandson William and wife Christy; and great-grandson, Campbell Wade Sitter, all of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Katherine Swearingen and husband, Gerret of Chicago, Illinois; and cousin Richard Ivy of Arlington, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 10:30 am at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
