Robert "Bob" Leslie Burton, of Pauls Valley was born March 18, 1933 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Leslie Dewey and Ozie Ozeda Burton.
He passed away May 1, 2005 at Pauls Valley, at the age of 72 years.

Robert and Mary Ruth Dunkin were married in Wynnewood, Okahoma on December 28, 1953.

Robert was retired from the oil field industry, and also retired from SORC in Pauls Valley. He served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force, and worked as a police officer in 1957-58.

He was a member of First Church Of God in Pauls Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Ronald Leslie Burton and Kelley Joe Burton; and 1 granddaughter, Kimberly Louise Burton.

Surviving family include his wife, Mary Ruth Burton of the home; 3 sons, Robert Earl Burton & his wife Carol Ann of Pauls Valley, James Merle Burton & his wife Eugenia Louise of Lindsay and Jerry Dale Burton of Ft. Smith; 2 daughters, Shelia Ruth Carnell & her husband Danny of Pauls Valley and Jennifer Lou Sutton & her husband Don of Pauls Valley; 2 brothers, Kenneth Ray Burton, of Oklahoma City and Doyle Alvin Burton of Nicoma Park; 10 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 10:00 am at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Joel Ferren. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
