Brumley

Oscar Franklin "Ott" Brumley was born October 21, 1917,
in Ada, OK eighth child of fifteen born to Jefferson and Mary Lou
Brumley. He passed away on May 23, 2007 in Waxahachie, TX after a long
illness. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his
wife, Lena Pearl (Mobbs) Brumley, and 10 of his siblings.
Ott is survived by two sons: Phillip Brumley, Roger Brumley and his
wife, Debie; one daughter: Joy Watson; 8 grandchildren; and lots of
grandchildren and great and great-great grandchildren; his brother:
Leonard Brumley and his, wife Mary Lou; three sisters: Ruby Engle,
Bertha Craddock, and Rosa Brumley.
Ott worked for Wackers Warehouse in Pauls Valley, OK before moving to
Dallas in 1957. He finally settled in Midlothian in 1966. After he
retired, he worked for David’s Supermarket for 18 years.
He was a family man. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and
great-grandfather. Ott liked to farm and to ride his tractor. He loved
country music and to sit on his porch and look out at his land. He will
be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation is Friday, May 25, 2007, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Midlothian
Funeral Home in Midlothian, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 1:00 pm at
Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance. Interment will be at the Paoli
Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home with
Bro. Patrick McCone officiating.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Jeff Astbury and
his staff, to the ICU staff at Baylor-Waxahachie Hospital, and to
sister-in-law, Mary Lou Brumley.
